Evangel means "good news" or "gospel". We are committed to the good news of the death of Jesus Christ for sinners, and His bodily resurrection on the third day. It is only by turning from our sin with faith in the good news proclaimed in the Scriptures that we can be saved from God's just wrath, due to us for sin. We worship and serve with joy because Christ lives today!
